Dear valued Jewett Cameron Partners,
As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, we face many decisions impacting how we care for our employees and partners, and serve our customers. Government decisions and guidance are rapidly being released on a daily basis. I wanted to provide you with an update on how Jewett Cameron is managing the current situation, and the specific ways which Jewett Cameron has responded during this period of time.
Our first priority is the safety and security of our teammates, and our partners. At our North Plains, Oregon facility we have implemented work from home practices for each employee who can perform their roles remotely. For those functions which cannot be performed remotely, we have implemented practices which enhance and enforce social distancing of our teammates. We have also begun enhanced disinfecting cleaning practices throughout the facility. We have also publicly posted and are enforcing severe limitations on outside visitations.
Other than how we conduct our business, our ability to conduct business has not yet been significantly impacted. Under the Governor of Oregon’s executive order released today, we will continue to maintain the practices we outlined above and will keep our business open unless there is more severe administrative guidelines posted by the Governor. We are still processing orders from our North Plains, Oregon facility, and are still processing orders for direct import. Our facilities overseas are operating at near their full capacity, and at this point, we are not experiencing significant delays in delivering our products from abroad.
We are committed to continue communicating with you as the situation unfolds. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we all work through what is a very difficult situation not just for our commercial dealings, but for each of us personally.
